This classic set by Yair Emanuel features a tallit, a kippah and a matching bag. Made out of white fabric, this set is embroidered with the “Eitz Chaim” (Tree of Life).

The stripes, atara (neckband), corners and tree motif are embroidery in brown and the leaves in green.

The tallit also displays the sentence in Hebrew, “…asher kideshanu bemitzvotav vitzivanu lehitatef betzitzit” across the yoke of this pretty shawl, meaning “G-d made us holy through commanding us to don the tzitzit” in English.
The kippah is white and adorned with a branch of the tree with green leaves. The matching bag has the same tree of life embroidery as the tallit.

Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem. Vivid and harmonious colors as well as a mixture of the old and the new characterize Emanuel’s work, which is designed and crafted in his Jerusalem studio. The principal techniques utilized encompass painting on silk, hand-embroidery, raw-silk appliqué and painting on wood.
