This Yair Emanuel 3-piece tallit set, made of high quality silk and hand brush-painted, features a blue illustration of the Old City of Jerusalem, nestled inside the frames of one of the gates of Jerusalem.

The tallit also displays the sentence in Hebrew, “…asher kideshanu bemitzvotav vitzivanu lehitatef betzitzit” across the yoke of this pretty shawl, meaning “G-d made us holy through commanding us to don the tzitzit”
The four corners of the tallit have the same image in miniature.

Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem. Vivid and harmonious colors as well as a mixture of the old and the new characterize Emanuel’s work, which is designed and crafted in his Jerusalem studio. The principal techniques utilized encompass painting on silk, hand-embroidery, raw-silk appliqué and painting on wood.
