This Yair Emanuel 3-piece tallit set, made of high quality silk and hand brush-painted, features the colorful image of the Old City of Jerusalem, on a turquoise background.

The tallit also displays the sentence in Hebrew, “…asher kideshanu bemitzvotav vitzivanu lehitatef betzitzit” across the yoke of this pretty shawl, meaning “G-d made us holy through commanding us to don the tzitzit”
The four corners of the tallit have the same image in miniature.

Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem. Vivid and harmonious colors as well as a mixture of the old and the new characterize Emanuel’s work, which is designed and crafted in his Jerusalem studio. The principal techniques utilized encompass painting on silk, hand-embroidery, raw-silk appliqué and painting on wood.
