This wall hanging is made in Israel and crafted from gold plated metal and is shaped like a Hamsa, with the fingers facing upwards. The Hamsa features cut out patterns of Jerusalem scenery, the English and Hebrew words for Jerusalem, the Ten Commandment Tablets supported by the Lions of Judah on each side, who represent Jerusalem. Also visible in the scenery is Montefiore’s Windmill and an olive branch, representing peace. A chain is connected to the top, ending with a circle filled with blessing words and with a hollow center for hanging the ornament on a wall. This beautiful item will look fantastic in any place.

Artist Yealat Chen, Israeli artist with Yemenite roots, has been an artisan for over 25 years. From her studio in beautiful Southern Israel, her unique work reflects her Yemenite background . A master craftsperson, Chen has developed the use of the alloyed zinc metal, called “zamak,” which she combines with stone and wood, resulting in the creation of stunning, high quality contemporary Jewish art.
